Fun fact

She was the only woman among the original members of the New York Etching Club.

How she made it

Etching drawn straight onto the prepared copper plate outdoors in front of the subject, no preparatory drawing. She bit the plate in nitric acid and printed with plate tone left deliberately in the wiping for weather and dusk.
