Fun fact
She rescued Eugène Atget's entire archive after his death, without her, most of old Paris would be unphotographed.
How she made it
Large-format 8×10 view camera on a tripod, stopped far down for edge-to-edge sharpness, with the rising front used to keep skyscrapers from converging. Long exposures at chosen hours let the light describe the architecture.
